After testing the water with Ola S1 electric scooters, Bhavish Agarwal-led EV startup may introduce electric bikes in India soon. Per the details shared by Indian tipster Yogesh Brar, there will be three Ola electric bikes available across price ranges, with different specifications and variants.
The e-bikes will be dubbed Ola ‘Out of the World’, Ola Performax, and Ola Ranger. The ‘Out of the World’ Ola electric bike will be the most premium of the three, with a maximum range and a top speed of over 100 Kmph. The electric bikes may cost as low as Rs 85,000, but Brar claims that the news should be taken with a pinch of salt as their actual pricing may vary. Ola electric bikes specifications and price in India
Starting with the Ola ‘Out of the world’, it will tout 174 Km range on a single charge. The electric bike is expected to offer a top speed of 110 Kmph. As stated above, there will be only one variant of this model, and it could be priced at around Rs 1,50,000. The e-bike will pack top features and tech like ADAS (Advanced driver-assistance system) for a safe and automated driving experience.
Moving on to the Ola Performax, it will be a mid-range offering with three variants. The entry-level variant will offer a 91 Km range and 93 Kmph top speed. The variant may cost Rs 1,05,000. The second variant of the same model will be available with a 133 Km range and 95 Kmph top speed. It could come with Rs 1,15,000 sticker price. The top/ premium Ola Performax variant may be priced at Rs 1,25,000 for a 174 km range and 95 Kmph top speed. The Ola Performax is said to be performance-centric with best-in-segment features.
The Ola Ranger will be the most affordable electric bike in the lineup. It’s likely to start at Rs 85,000 and go up to Rs 1,05,000. The electric bike will offer efficient performance and category-first features. The model will also come in three variants, with a range of 80 Km 91 Kmph top speed on the base variant. The mid variant, which may cost Rs 95,000, will deliver a 117 Km range and 91 Kmph top speed, while the premium variant will have a 153 Km range and 91 Kmph top speed.
There is no word on Ola electric bikes’ launch date in India yet; however, the company has something planned for February 9th. The details of the event are unclear at the moment; however, Brar claims the company is going to tease the design of its first electric car and reveal the plan to launch at least one model under Rs 10 lakh.
